FoxPro, originally known
as FoxBASE has a unique history. Microsoft obtained it when it
acquired Fox Software in 1992. This meant that Microsoft now had
its own Access Database Software designed for business users and
the FoxPro Data Base designed for Database developers.
Through the years, FoxPro evolved into Visual
FoxPro, becoming another of the company's "Visual" products and
integrated into Microsoft Visual Studio.
